History of {cDS}

In 2001, Blue Ape, Merlin, Lt. RM and Spagettio (then called CyberWarrior) started an internet-gaming center called The Cyber Arena. We had 13 PC stations, two "bring-your-own" pc, 2 x-boxes on 52" TV's, and Atari on an old console TV, 50+ game choices, drinks and snacks.

Spagettio got involved with a gaming clan that played counterstrike source. As time went on, Merlin soon joined the group as well. In 2000, we decided to start our own gaming server running the gun game mod. We ran the server through the same gaming clan that Spagettio and Merlin were members of until the leader of this groups ego got in the way of progress. So, we branched out and started our own with gameservers.com.

We had been in business for about 6 years, when we decided we couldn't put any more funds into the center to keep it going. We did, however, decide to continue the game server and started our own community and decided on cyber Death Squad and {cDS} as its tag. Our baby was born. A Charter was written taking all the things that were wrong with the previous clan we belonged to and made them right with {cDS}.

The server started as a 24 slot. We have steadily increased it to the now 32-slot server we all know and love. Custom maps and excellent admins have been the backbone of us steadily growing. For the past two years, we have been in the top 5 servers in the United States. This past year, thanks to generous donations from our members, we have been able to bring up a second server running 24 slots and a death match version of gun game. It too has become increasingly popular and, therefore, has been a permanent addition to the {cDS} family.

As of the end of 2010, we have grown to a membership number of 165.

Children: 42 boys and 34 girls

Pets: 80 dogs, 57 cats, 3 birds, 2 guinea pigs, 2 poisonous frogs, 62 fish, 5 ferrets, 2 rabbits and 8 chinchillas
